Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce


Yesterday I got a package in the mail from Country Bob’s. So last night we went western style for dinner. Included in my product review he also sent a little brochure with different things to make. Now I am not one for steak sauce so I was not sure I would be able to give this a fair review so I had people over for dinner for some insight.

We started out with Shrimp and Shrimp Cocktail Sauce. The sauce was delightful, tangy, and did not overpower the shrimp like some store makes do. After making the Cocktail Sauce I know I will never go back to anything pre-made. My guest thought this was great and even asked me to make more for their upcoming BBQ.

Next on our menu was Little Party Bites made with Little Smokies. I tweaked the recipe a little so I would not have to break into the second bottle. Because the Bob’s All Purpose sauce has great taste I paired it with the Kraft Original BBQ sauce because we needed 2 cups, but I did not make as much sauce as the recipe called for so I used very little of BBQ sauce. It still gave our Little Smokies the zen and zest and made a great hit with the guest.

For our main dish we had The World’s Greatest Burgers and let me tell you the name says it all and more. The burgers melt in your mouth, they had so much flavor I’m pretty sure I will never eat another regular burger ever again, we added Borden Bacon Cheese to our to give it more of the western theme dinner. The down side was I did not have any County Bob’s Seasoning Salt as I am sure this made it much more better. The All Purpose sauce is 100% better than anything I have ever tasted so I can only imagine the Seasoning Salt being nothing less then the best ever made.

Now you can’t have the World’s Best Burgers without Country Bob’s Fantastic Baked Beans. Move over Bushes Grilling Beans you just moved from the number 1 spot. I used the blandest beans I could find which are Campbell Pork and Beans so I would not get any flavor than what I added, and again I tweaked the recipe as I only had about 1/2 cup left and no Seasoning Salt.

I was not sure my dinner guest were ever going to leave, and when they did I was exspecting them to show back up for breakfast. They did call me the next day to thank me again for the great meal I served. Before I started I said I did not know if I could review fairly, Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce is not just for dunking it truly is great to cook with and made the food so much better beyond my expectations.

Shrimp Cocktail Sauce

1/2 cup Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce

1/2 cup chili sauce

2 T. lemon juice

3 T. prepared horseradish

Mix all in the ingredients in a small bowl, and chill for an hour.
Makes 1 cup.

Little Party Bites

1 pound Little Smokies

1 T. grated or dices onions

2 cups Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce

Brown the sausage lightly on all sides in a large skillet. Remove the sausage to a paper towel and drain the skillet. Add onions and saute for about a minute. Stir in All Purpose Sauce. Return the sausage to skillet coating them all in sauce. (I used a crock-pot so the flavor would cook though)

World’s Greatest Burgers

2 1/2 pounds hamburg

1/2 packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix

3/8 cup of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce

1 T. Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt

Combine Hamburg with onion soup mix, Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce, Seasoning Salt. (I made mine about an hour before so the flavor would be soaked all though) Make your patties and they are ready to grill.

Country Bob’s Fantastic Baked Beans

1 can pork and beans (drain half the liquid)

1/2 pound of broiled or fried pork steak (or bacon we used turkey bacon)

2 cups Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce

1 small onion finely chopped

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 tsp. Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt

1/2 green pepper, diced

Combined all ingredients add pork steak or bacon to top before baking and back for 1 hour at 350 degrees
